    Hello everyone,

    Found this Pick Axe Head whilst around St.Eloi and Mount Kemmel. Am i just being hopeful thinking its period WW1? Or is it a more modern piece. What gets me thinking is the size as its pretty small, havent seen many like this

    Ive been looking further at this at it looks to me like an entrenching tool that the spade part has been broken off?

    i'd say you're right, i just got back from the somme earlier today and there were LOADS of these in relic condition in museums
