WW2 mortar round striker? Please help identify this.
Hello fellow enthusiasts.
Had some time to spare today, so I decided to take a walk to my favorite hunting site, a WW2 coastal German bunker on a greek beach.
This time I took another path than the usual one and in the bushes, on a clear patch of earth I spotted this threaded thing sticking half out of the ground. It waas not where I ususally find stuff, bullets, cartridges etc but some remnants of German barbed-wire were laying around, too.
I am no expert but my first guess would be a mortar round fuse part, a striker maybe?... No clue and I could not find a match after a quick internet search because I am not sure what to look for.
The object is heavy, non magnetic, with some rust spots, has no markings, it's deformed (check pics), has a feel like brass but not the usual verdigris colouring of the spent cases and other brass objects I find and is about 2,8cm long with a 2,1cm diameter.
Any takers?

Hey guys, trying to "bump" my question up again.
Maybe I should post this in "battlefield archaeology"?
I now this is just a threaded.. nothing but it's still a relic to me. And I need an ID.
Any help will be appreciated...
