WW2 RAF Lancaster base - Dump discovered - Finds keep coming

Article about: by Steve T A big buckle off something and a piece of metal that reminds me of a metal MG belt feeder. The stainless steel item is indeed part of a USAAF .50 cal flexible feed chute. by Steve

The 4th photo..the horn shaped objects above the plate, appear to be
Blind Flying panel mounts to the instrument panel 6a/617.
If they are, they should have three holes in a triangular patern.
These usualy broke at the thinest point ,as these appear to have done.
    Interesting stuff..
    Regards Mike

Thanks Andy, i'm going to keep it even in its broken condition. I can picture the airmen using it before a mission or after one.

    John,
Hanging onto it is the right thing to do! You never know the other bit may well turn up then you can get your glue out.

    Hi Mate,
Nice finds they've cleaned up well, I like the RAF crested jug fragment. I think the IRL? is a lamp adaptor you plug it into a single lamp bulb socket and can then put two seperate blubs on it.
    All the best.

    Steve,
Would you believe, I found half of one and showed WH the WD arrow marking, he wandered off and came back holding his, which is actually two one inside the other. Sadly they'd been a little too close to a fire and are melted together.
