WW2 RAF Lancaster base - Dump discovered - Finds keep coming

Article about: by Steve T A big buckle off something and a piece of metal that reminds me of a metal MG belt feeder. The stainless steel item is indeed part of a USAAF .50 cal flexible feed chute. by Steve

hi, awesome thread, the stuff you are finding is the same stuff I am finding next to a beach dump, finding ww2 batterys, radio equipment, flare gun shells etc etc did find a metal 20mm shell yet to be identified good stuff the electric use things you found too with 2 holes I found one of them too.

My best find is a morse code tapper from a bomber aircraft

Wow cool a beach dump that sounds really Intresting we would love to see pictures of your finding. Do you have to
Dig into the sand at low tide?

Sorry to hear that John but it sounds like you've had a good night. Perhaps you should post this on the 'how to get rid of Ghosts' thread.
Ps Good luck if you're out searching over the weekend.

Re. post 151, it's a bomb nose plug, used instead of a nose pistol for penetration.

See http://www.bocn.co.uk/vbforum/1000-p...sh-t78037.html for one in position.

    All the best,

Bratacus - Post a pic of the 20mm and we'll help ID it

WH - Hopefully the nose plug will make up for the smashed cup !
