I have found russian ammo in Denmark, so I am sure the rifles was used for guards in Denmark. This rifle however has been used for learning how a bolt action rifle functions. That could very well be the reason (the only one?) for the holes in the magazine, the barrel cut in half etc.

It could also be used for training some of the russian soldiers on german side that were in Denmark in the last years of the war...

That rifle was probably cut like that to show how it looks on the inside and how it works

The tail piece shown in your link is of an American 3.5 inch Bazooka rocket.

Maybe the rifle is from Hiwis, all of the German units on the East Front had Hiwis, and some of the hiwis had weapons. The Freikorps Danmark had a hiwi, that even went on leave with some of the soldiers!

what kind of rifle is this ??
    Regards
    Hello,
As soon as I saw your first picture I thought 'Mosin Nagant', the magazine spring arrangement was the giveaway. I also agree that the cut barrel and holed magazine almost certainly make this an instructional piece.
    Very nice find.
    Best regards,
    navyman.
