Article about: I aquired this recently and wondered if anyone could point me in the right direction as to what it is?! and any ideas on what language the engraving on the blade is? many thanks in advance.

    I'm seeing them offered on German Ebay from $400-$6000 depending on age, ornamental material & workmanship etc...
    It's an attractive piece!
