1967 pilot surivival knife sheath ?

Knife is a 1-1967.Can the sheath be original to the knife?I'm not sure. Thanks Bill

I think there should be more wear to the knife handle than is showing,
so maybe not. Still a nice Vietnam era knife !

It is possible that the leather has been treated to make
the sheath look older than it is........

The knives I have dated 1967 have full leather scabbards. No metal reinforcement.
