hi steve , 2 nice well used examples of german trench/fighting knifes. the worn trademark is for the firm of DEUTSCH MASCHIENENFABRIC (DEMAG) based in duisburg ,this trade mark is found on knifes produced by this firm in the years 1916/18. hope this is of help...cheers paul

Both look to be original WW1 German knives.

The leather sheath with the DEMAG knife is not correct - originally it would have had one similar to the other.

The metal scabbards can be found with both fabric and belt loops.

    Regards

    Nice knive´s !

The crossguard of the DEMAG should be bended upwards on one side !
Sadly the blade´s a little slurred, also the grip plates ...

Very nice the hanger of textile material !

The second knife also could be a DEMAG !

Are there acceptance marks visible ?
