    I must warn you that these hae been faked for a while now-original scabbards and parts such as the 'SLAZ 44' or composite grips were still available long after the war and some of these have been circulating for 20 or 30 years-see 'British & Commonwealth Bayonets'-Skennerton and Richardson.

    I had an original I bought off ebay from Oz..it was 100% original. I payed $1200.00. Sadly, I had to sell it 2-3 years later, and someone in Tasmania paid me $1500.00...they are heavily faked as you were advised.
