    I need help identifying this Bayonet. Muzzle ring diameter 17.5 but it is slightly open. I don't want to mess with the calibration screw as I don't have the key.

    I can't find much information or images on the 1886 if in fact it is that.

    Is more as slightly open, i believe You have there a export M88 piece. NO stamps on pommel? or otherwise of the OEWG?

    Thank you all for your input.

    AndyB in inspecting the Bayonet again, I see a number 5 right behind the lower Cross Guard.

    Should I attempt to tighten the ring?

    No probably not, better a not damaged screw on it,looks like export version.
