Is this an Authentic trench knife or a reproduction?

Article about: I am trying to see if anyone can tell if this is an actual WW1 German trench knife or a reproduction. Besides the etchings it has no makers mark on it.

These are almost always seen on a Solingen marked blade,so,absolutely the design is German, I would think. But, I very much find it hard to accept that it is on a military issue knife. I've seen this same exact design on narrow double edge dagger type blades as well as the boot knife style with the false edge. I have never seen, however, the weird Iron Cross on one before. If anything, that makes it all the more suspicious.

Looks like my knife. It is Siegfried with his sword Balmuna fighting the dragon Fafnir. I got mine as a walk in to the store(Army/Navy store). It was for sale. I gave $35 for it. Yours is the 2nd. I saw. Rich A. in Pa.
