    Default Brittish bayonet, ww1?

I found this socket bayonet, it was marked enfield, but I am not sure it is. I wanted some opinions on it, asking price is 125 dollars. has brass and leather scabbard. scabbard is all there, but is a lil rough from age. this bayo is long and heavy, looks like it belongs on a cannon. lol
    What exactly is it?

Hi Brent, not 100% sure about this, but it looks like an 1852 Enfield musket bayonet, I think?

    Cheers, Ade.

    Ade,
I found a site that had the same markings, and it was an 1883 Indian modified socket bayonet. Whatever that means. The pfice tag they had on it without a scabbard was 95 dollars. According to the price on the site, I think 125 - 20% is a good price. What do you think?

I agree. Though from the pictures it is hard to tell what type it is for sure. Atlanta Cutlery had some of this type of bayonet for sale a while back. The pieces were recovered from a government warehouse in Nepal. Cass
