    Hi all,

Nothing special in my collection I'm afraid.

A Gottfried Hammesfahr (copy), an Ern and a private purchase doe's foot without any maker's marks, not great quality.

    Thanks for looking.

    Regards

    Mark

Note Mark's Indian repro in post 104, top photo. One of the ways to spot these "repros" is the angled grooves on the wood grip slant the wrong way. Compare with bottom photo of the authentic Ern. These repros often turned up nicely aged and can fool new collectors. Be extremely careful when considering buying a "Gotfried Hammesfahr" fighting knife. Real ones usually will have the a snap button with the flower motive as seen in the Ern example.
