Default Canadian Pattern 1888 Mark 1 Type 2 bayonet?

I recently acquired a bayonet that I'm told was issued to Canadian cavalry in the Second Boer War. As you'll see, it's a Pattern 1888 Mk.1 Type 2, dating to June, 1896. It has markings for the Princess Louise Dragoon Guards, a Canadian cavalry unit that sent a squadron of volunteers to South Africa. Additionally, the bayonet has never been sharpened, and it is my understanding that it was an oddity of the Second Boer War that troops often didn't sharpen their bayonets. So, the story seems to be checking out. Are there any problems that I'm missing? Having had a great-grandfather from Calgary, Alberta who fought in the Boer War, I'd really like to believe that this could be the genuine article. Here are a few photos of the bayonet in question:

I'd be grateful if you'd let me know your thoughts. Also, if you could suggest someplace where I might acquire the missing grips and button, I would really appreciate it! It would be wonderful to make this bayonet complete again.

Only the obvious wooden grips and rivets. Acquiring genuine replacement grips might be difficult. However it wouldn't surprise me if an Indian made repro grip is available, (Windlass for example) check out a few web sites, such as Atlanta Cutlery.

Thanks, Anderson. That answers my "Also, if you could suggest someplace where I might acquire the missing grips and button, I would really appreciate it! It would be wonderful to make this bayonet complete again." nicely! I will check out Atlanta cutlery.
