Here are a couple of more recent fighting knives by this maker.
John Ek made knives for the military during the war, but these are post war. As they have been part of my knife collection for a number of years, I just never thought of them as part of my Militaria collection.
I thought I would share them here.
If the Mod of this sections deems them to not be in the correct section, please feel free to move them.

1st is a wooden handled bowie style of blade.

beautiful blades Ralph. Would be so tempted to use them but they are too pristine to ruin.

    Those are sweet Ralph!
I like the para cord wrapped handle one the best.

Are these the one's made by KA-BAR?

    Thank you Michael!
I have many pristine blades in my knife collection, separate from my militaria collection, mostly, of course.
Approx. 700, everything from MOP handled fruit knives to factory made miniature folders, to swords. I collected knives long before I really collected Militaria.

    Thank you Phil!
These were purchased about 2005 and I believe these were still produced by Ek.
I wasn't aware that they were purchased by KA-BAR but since you mentioned it, I am now.

    Ralph.
I guess I should have read the whole Wiki page, these were produced by Blackjack knives, who purchased the company in 1993.
I may check further into this.

    Great Ek knives Ralph.
I am a big fan of Ek knives. Their ww2 knives are practically worth their
weight in gold. My own Ek knife was in the display case at their shop for
many years. Gary Ek, the son of John Ek was a member here for a short
period of time. He commented once on a thread where I had posted a
    pic of mine.

I'm looking forward to seeing your other blades.

    Thanks Greg!
I remember he commented on yours.
Maybe I will start a thread in the Collections section one of these days on my knife collection.
Never really thought about it before.

    Thank you!
I like to think I have a good eye for quality in most of the knives in my collection.
