Just got this into my collection.
Is this a dutch M3 clone or??? What?
No markings and no scabbard.
Any info will be great.

Steve.
Now i know what this is. Anyone who want's to know?
Can I use your pic on a dutch forum? I'll ask around if you agree. Mybet: it is a Dutch Marine Corps, german made M3 clone.
Cheers,
Emile.
Sure you can. Use them as much as you like. Have just discovered that there are 2 of theese in Norway.
He got his from his father who found it in 1964
Here's my theory anyway:
This is a dutch M4 bayonet converted into a fighting knife.
It went so far that i had to buy myself a dutch M4 to compare.
Prest1, you have found the answer !
The two little holes for pinning the bayonet crossguard to the tang give it away !
It is a beautiful dagger, and not a type I've ever seen over here.
I wonder if it was an issue piece, an experimental arsenal
conversion/rework, or commercial surplus ?
I'll have to try and find one............!
Regards,
Steve.
