Dutch M3 clone ????

Article about: by Walkwolf The two little holes for pinning the bayonet crossguard to the tang give it away ! Yes and the reason the other holes are so much bigger is because the crossguard on the fighting

    Just got this into my collection.

    Is this a dutch M3 clone or??? What?

    No markings and no scabbard.

    Any info will be great.

    Can I use your pic on a dutch forum? I'll ask around if you agree. Mybet: it is a Dutch Marine Corps, german made M3 clone.

    Sure you can. Use them as much as you like. Have just discovered that there are 2 of theese in Norway.

    He got his from his father who found it in 1964

    Here's my theory anyway:


    This is a dutch M4 bayonet converted into a fighting knife.

    It went so far that i had to buy myself a dutch M4 to compare.

    The two little holes for pinning the bayonet crossguard to the tang give it away !
    It is a beautiful dagger, and not a type I've ever seen over here.

    I wonder if it was an issue piece, an experimental arsenal
    conversion/rework, or commercial surplus ?


    I'll have to try and find one............!
