Nice display item...looks like someone polished up the blade a bit as well...I hope he sends you the missing piece so you can restore it!

The restoration wasn't a bad job, just not as tight fitting as
the original. Still, a nice sought after bayonet.........

Oh,so the blade was polished!?That explains the scratches.And I think i will try and find an original wood piece for the handle.
