help with bayonet identification

Article about: Literally know nothing about this bayonet. Got this from my grandpa and am wondering what kind it is. There are no visible marks on the blade. I can not find a serial number either. Hope som

    Literally know nothing about this bayonet. Got this from my grandpa and am wondering what kind it is. There are no visible marks on the blade. I can not find a serial number either.

    Hope someone has some information for me. Everything is for sale for the right price so anyone who may know how much its worth would be nice also.

    It looks to me like a WW1 German Ersatz bayonet. Check out more detail here: Ersatz Bayonets.

    That did help. Thanks. Looks to me to be an eb23...they all look really similar. Any idea which model it is exactly?

    Yeah they look to be a match although having said that, I'm no expert myself! I'm afraid I don't know a great deal about its value either, I just knew what it was.

    Sorry I can't tell you much more but If a moderator can move this thread to the Imperial German section then you might have a better chance of one of the experts giving you a response.

    there is one of these in the army surplus store where i live the story goes it was a bring back from ww1 apparently it had been used by the turks

    Aushilfe SG88/98 or sometime Ersatz bayonets called.
