Thanks for the quick answer! Are you referring to the top bayo or the bottom bayo?

the things that point me to mauser are ,, the catch ,, and the grip screws
the blade is a bit odd in desighn
but ,, i still think its a mauser made bayonet for export
to which country ?? i think mabe spain
it couldalso be an export to most any arab country
im sure others will give you better advice now when i say mauser made,,mabe i should say made for a m,auser
but that is what i think cheers ian

Top bayo is a Belgian M1916/24 for their M1889 Rifle.

Bottom bayo appears to have the pommel mounted at 90 degrees to proper position on handle-I would suspect an incorrect repair.

alright so the top is a belgian and the bottom is a mauser export with a failed repair? I have never seen a bayonet like the bottom one besides the lee metford 1888 bayo. Thanks for the replies!

Not in my area, but it may be a Dutch Model 1895 Mannlicher with a piece of the blade tip missing. FP

The bottom one is Dutch, albeit modified by the Germans in WW2 after capture en reissue. The German nomenclature is: SEITENGEWEHR 104 (h)
    (German WW2 converted M1895 "Carbine No.3 & No.4" Bayonet)
This bayonet was purposely manufactured (by Alexander Coppel in Germany for the Dutch. Look at the balance; their logo) with the pommel that way, to accomodate bicycle troops. It caused less wear to the uniforms that way!

    Cheers,

Looking at the bottom bayo again the handle and strange pommel could be the Dutch Artillery M1895 type which is rare but the blade for that type is a T back type one and much longer-as prev stated it may have been damaged and reshaped. I take it that there are no scabbards with these 2 bayos.
