Hi guys,
Does anyone have a copy of "The Military Knife and Bayonet" by Homer Brett?
I'm trying to find some information on a knife style that I think is shown
in his book.
If anyone can help, please send me a pm.
Thanks,
Greg

Greg,
Is it a good reference book?

Greetings Phil,
Printed in 2001, it's a fine book on the numbers of international blades (some oddballs too) covered/identified, yet too, pretty weak on individual texts' treatment. Think generic "picture book" versus "scholarly tome." I use it (about once a year) to identify unfamiliar "foreign" knives. It's very good for narrowing down where certain knives or bayonets hail from (country-wise), but kinda leaves you wanting more when you do match up/identify a categorized blade. Good book to own if you are a generalist on blades; just don't expect a deep-dive into any one country's type. That last line would be the metric I would recommend/employ on a decision over its future purchase or not. Thoughts complete.
Best Regards,
Lance
Thank you Lance,
Maybe I'll just do a inter library loan to take a look at it and decide then if worth adding to the Ref. book collection

Phil,
I found a used copy of the book on ebay and have it coming.
I have a knife that I was thinking was pictured in the Brett book and was hoping for
some information about it. Lance was kind enough to send me a copy of the page
that I needed. As you can see, the information is very generic at best.
