ID help Socket Bayonet, Brown Bess?

Hi there,

I bought I mixed lot at auction that contained this old socket bayonet. I hope someone will be able to help me ID it, it looks a lot like a Brown Bess bayonet to my untrained eye.

What looks like a 4 in a circle stamped on the blade:

It also has what look like new land pattern shoulders.

I'd welcome any comments or ballpark valuations.
