    It looks more like a (Tegha sword) with the wide blade verses the narrow Tulwar one.

    Cheers Eric i expcted it to be a tulwar, but a tegha was mentioned to me before i will try get a close up of the regimental stamp, posted laterIndian Tulwar

    I have no clue at all what it stands for, i just presume it's some sort of regiment insignia

    Fair play Eric, i was not sure if i should have even put this one on the forum, it's a bit off topic from the norm of ww2 items, glad i was'nt the first to put such an item up.

    It probably is all steel, i just quoted how the sword was described to me, and i mistakingly called it a tulwar and tega also by mistake, until i was corrected, was told that a percentage of the handle was of silver, but it might not be the case, still it's a nice sword, would say they are scarce, but they do not fetch much cash, unless you guys know different, thanks for the replies.
