Mauser Bayonet marked 44

Article about: I got this recently and noticed it's marked '44' and had Russian writing above it. Could it be a ww2 Czech made Bayonet? I have the whole set w/ frog, scabbard and cleaning kit. Thanks. ~Dean

Yours was made by cutting down an older FN24 bayo of the type used pre WW2 by the Yugoslav army for their Mausers-strangely enough my German K98k bayo fits my M48 rifle better than the 'official' model does. See below.

    Unfortunately incorrect.

Yugoslavia used the shortened bayonets, but they never market them with Preduzeće44 stamp.
There are a few variations of Preduzeće44 bayonet.
