My S71 bayonet

Article about: I just wanted to show her to you guys. She is a bit in a rough condition. I only need a scabbard for her. Made by ERFURT and she has regimental markings. I hope you like her!!! Regards

    Yes the markings are very interesting. I believe the script letter L stands for a Landsturm unit, but the 'Bre' is something that I have never encountered before. Hopefully someone will shed some light on that. Cheers.

    2nd Landsturm Infantery Battalion Breslau. 2nd Company. Weapon No 2.

    This style of marking with the script L was introduced in 1890.

    Quite an unusual marking I think.
