German K98 dress bayonet with stag grips made by E. Pack and Schne in Solingen That is all I can tell you. Condition is a little rough. It is worth more as a family memento.

Both are correct. The ones with stag are pretty sought after. As said, a little rough but is all complete. Keep it. You will kick yourself later when you sell it. If you need to know the price, it is in around the mid $160's.

I would keep it ( I've had it for years ) , it just sit's in my dresser drawer . Atleast a collector could take care of it ? I have my grandfather's US M3 Knife and all of his medals / photo's that he treasured most . This bayonet really has no meaning to me Sounds bad right ? Sorry . Don't want to sound ungrateful here because , I'm not . All of his medal's are in frames with the photo's and the M3 knife is @ the bank for my son when he gets old enough . I have no use for the bayonet . Is there a collector here that would buy it ? Thanks so much for your help , I appreciate it

I think it is personally purchased walking-out dress bayonet and most probably belongs to some of 3rd Reich´s many paramilitary services (not Wehrmacht).

Very good item for collection anyway
