the bayonet is 17 inches overall and 10 3/4 inch blade length. it is missing the handle so I am assuming the handle was made of wood. There is an E stamped where the handle was located. I can just make out a small oval at the bottom of the blade. One of the letters is a capital P inside that oval. I posted some pics. also, I would like to know approximate value and if it is worth more refurbished or as is. If it is common and pretty much junk, I will just clean it up and make a cool handle. thanks any help is appreciated.

Looks like a German M1914 type bayo-meant for export-scabbard looks like it's meant for another type like a saw back/butcher-its too wide for the narrow width blade-the blade is very worn-not worth very much.

Looks like there is a two or three lined maker on the ricasso - the flat area
near the crossguard - but it is very light. As said, it is not worth much,
maybe thirty or fourty bucks with the sheath. Sometimes grip
plates and screws come up for auction on Ebay.

If you are going to make your own, have a look at several
to see how they are shaped and contoured.
    Regards,

    Steve.

I think youd be lucky to get $30-40 someone has done a very bad job on the blade with a angle grinder plus no hand grips and a ill fitting sheath, real shame
