Hey everyone, i recently bought this combat knife from a local military store and was told that the knife was brought in by a guy and it was marked unidentified, I did a bit of research and found the scabbard appears to be of German origin and the grip matches some of Eickhorn's bayonets. The knife looks very similar to the US M3 but with a different finger guard and handle. Any info will be greatly appreciated

It looks like a postwar field/fighting knife, maybe Swedish or Danish.

    Hello to everybody here.

I came to this forum since I was doing a search for the same kind of blade I bought last week at a militaria fair in my town.
After posting in two American forums, an expert of European blades gave me the solution.

This digger is a Eickhorn M3, a German commercial version of the US GI M3, dated 1970 about.

These are photos of mine which came into an original USGI M8A1 scabbard.

    I hope this can help.
