Not sure why your seller mentioned Gebruder Simpson and Erfurt.
The marking "WKC" indicates that it was made by Weyersberg & Kirschbaum.
Unless there are any other markings on the piece, there is no way to associate with any particular regiment.

My Mistake.... Darn I saw the Maker Mark and didn't register when I wrote the notes to this thread... Woops...
