    I can not help with the dating,
    But that is a very nice looking sword.

    It is a quality sword. A Danish Naval officer's sabre Model 1849, by E & F Horster, made pre-WW2 based on the early style of trademark used. WKC also made these swords from 1890's.

    It's stamped with "Søartilleriet" (Sea Artillery).
    The service existed as an independent special service within the Royal Danish Navy from 1739-1971.
    'Søartilleriet' was the technical arm of the navy and tested, developed, and procured new armament for the ships: Large calibre guns and small arms alike. Including swords.
