Welcome to the forum Kim.
War Relics Forum is primarily focused on WW2 and WW1. As such, I'm not to sure how much help we can be. That said, hopefully some of the members here might have some expertise on these items or could at least point you to the proper place for information.
Do you have any information at all on these items?
Regards
Michael
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated
My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them

Out of my scope really, but the shield looks like a
'decorator piece'. The other items may actually
be antiques ( though repros abound in all
areas of collecting ! ) The arrow in the
center appears to be medieval.........

Steve.
Thank you. I found this site looking up zulu spear. But I can't find that posting anymore. Lol. I'm still not very computer savvy.
Thank you. Interesting about the arrow. It has broken feathers on the end. I guess i just need to take these into a shop. The shield has really old leather on the inside. So, it appears to be pretty old. I did have someone that was somewhat knowledgable in shields and he thought it was worth researching further. I was going to sell it as a souvenir piece. But you're probably right.
Hello and welcome,
I do agree the shield is decoration It might look, and be old, but it was never mend to be used in warfare!
Copy's are made since the end of the 19 th century,... in industrial factory's.
Mind that they are worth something, but not what one might hope! ;-)
Bow, spear and arrows do look african to me too.
cheers

Thank you Stuka. I can't find anything similar to that shield, just to sell as a repro. I was going to just ask $50. Yes, I'm thinking the other items are African, but they look much older than the ones i see online.
You're from Belgium? I have a bronze statue from Alberic Collin I'm selling. I believe he was from Antwerp. I just sent the info to Christies in Belgium. .
50 $ shure is about right for that item!
The african weapons would not reach far more eighter; 70 to 80€ I would say.
Alberic Collin was from Antwerp indeed, a great animalier!
Love his work, I would like to see the bronze if possible!
I could recommend you a good auction house in Antwerp, if you are planning to sell in Belgium.

Sure! I would love a recommendation! I love my bronze elephant, but need the $$. Here's a picture...
Not a very good picture. It's beautiful in person.
