    It is the type sword that was issued to Naval Recruit Chief Petty Officers in boot camp.

    A copy of the Dutch M1911 Klewang - first as the US M1917 Cutlass then as the M1941.

    The M1917 had a solid guard without the cutouts seen on the later model.

    $40 - that's what I call a bargain.
