U.S. M-1941 sword

Got this U.S. M-1941 sword today at the flea market for $40. I posted the other stuff in the finds section. Rich A. in Pa.

It is the type sword that was issued to Naval Recruit Chief Petty Officers in boot camp.

looks something like a naval cutless

A copy of the Dutch M1911 Klewang - first as the US M1917 Cutlass then as the M1941.

The M1917 had a solid guard without the cutouts seen on the later model.

$40 - that's what I call a bargain.
