Unknown axe

Article about: Hello, I just got this axe from my usual supplier. He had two of them, one with green painted handle. Thats why i suspect it might be military. Has anybody seen this model of axe before? Any

    I just got this axe from my usual supplier. He had two of them, one with green painted handle. Thats why i suspect it might be military.
    Has anybody seen this model of axe before? Any info on the origins is aappreciated.

    It's just a run of the mill Claw Axe, possibly American made circa early 20th c. onwards. Value is low.

    With a nail puller, I think it is likely a roofer's hatchet.........

    Agreed Steve. Often called a tiler's axe over here.

    Yep. A roofers hatchet. I think I've got a similar one somewhere in my garage. They're Not fun to Use....
