I picked this up today and the seller told me he thought it was a late war production. I've looked into it and found one similar listed as a Turkish conversion. Any thoughts or help will be much appreciated!!

Hi GP it looks to be a Turkish 1965 G1 FN-Fal Bayonet made from WW1 German Ersatz.

Thank you guys! I think I hate it now! It was $15 so at least I didn't drop too much!
To me it's an evolutional step in Mauser type bayo,s and I would have paid $15.00 for it for that reason.
It's an interesting conversation piece.
Cheers

The more I think about and look at it, the more I just want to airmail it into the wall!

GP!!!! You just need to get and FN FAL.
Problem solved!!!!
That is how my collection started. I got into bayonets and then thought " I need to get the rifle's that these thing went on".
Now I got a foot locker full of bayonets and a gun safe full of rifle's
Its a WIN WIN situation!

Don't think it would fit on my Cetme though. It's kinda a cousin of the FAL.
