Article about: hi all, i was wondering if anyone knew what this bayonet is. i got it at an antique store for 5\\$ the stamp says "INDIA"

    Looks like a "nasty" Indian copy socket bayonet for possibly a 3 band Enfield or such like ..

    It is definitely an extremely poor and crude copy of a socket bayonet and has, for sure, never been anywhere Near an actual firearm. William

    Looks like a very poor copy of the 1816 model bayonet.

    True....For 5 bucks, would always make a great back-scratcher. Or maybe a weed digger? William

    That is a wall-hanger. Made for decoration and not combat.
