What kind of bayonet is this?

I got this bayonet when I was around 12, I'm 45 now. The blade is close to 19 inches long, it has the number 62978 on the handle and the blade has H.S. stamped into it, can anyone tell me more about this bayonet.

Hi,
your bayonet is a Swiss made Schmidt-Rubin Model 1914
Pioneer / Engineer sawback bayonet, also know as the 1911
model. Usualy stamped Elserner Schwyz, and a number along the quillion, nice bayonet if you straighten the quillion and give it a good clean it would look great. Hope this helps.
