Default WW I Leupold fighting knife.

A very kind and generous member decided that he wanted me to have this fine example in my collection.
This member contacted me and asked for my mailing address and said he wanted to send me a little gift.

I was a was quite surprised when I opened the package to reveal this very nice knife!
The blade condition is almost mint with one or two in/out scratches. The handle displays the expected wear and tear for a knife of this age and the scabbard retains almost all of it's original paint.
All of the leather is still in useable condition.

I was a little ecstatic to say the least!
Thank you! You know who you are!
    Ralph.

Now, I am not really one for receiving something for nothing so, it took me a little while to figure out how I could repay his kindness.
I decided that a unique way to show my gratitude would be to make, and send him a miniature of this very knife for his own collection.
    Here is the finished miniature.

    Ralph,
Awesmme knives, both the original and the minature.
That crossguard style is my favorite of the ww1 fighters.

It was a very kind gesture on the part of the member to send you
such a gift. I'm sure he did it with no expectation of getting something
in return so I think that your gift of a handmade piece to him
would be a great way to show your appreciation.

Well done --- Both of you.
