ww1 bayonet, need identification help!

Article about: Got this from my uncle for christmas, his wife is of german decent and came from her aunts husband. I assume he is german as well but am not 100% sure of this bayonets country of manufacture

    sorry I am unclear as to what this exactly means? Chatellerault is the place of manufacture correct? But what does the AC prefix stand for?

    The prefix's A,B,C,D,E,AB and AC were used by Chatellerault to show that they were the manufacturers of that particular bayonet.

    The AC letter preffix speaks for production of the carbine, it must not directly means the bayonet is too Chatellerault production but in majority case probably yes, the AC series is already the reworked M1892/M16 carbine, so date of production of the serial numbered carbine is late WW1.
