Default 1914 replacement EK I and 1957er Spange zum EK des Weltkrieges

Here are two recent additions to my 1957er collection: A replacement 1914 Eisernes Kreuz I. Klasse [Iron Cross 1st Class] (obviously not a 1957er as such, but made parallel to those during the same period) and a 1957er Spange zum Eisernen Kreuz des Weltkrieges 1914/18 I. Klasse [Clasp to the Iron Cross of the World War 1914/18 1st Class]. These pieces are not connected: They were purchased separately, but I decided to feature them in one thread as they go together so well.

Obverse and reverse views of the 1914 EK I. It's an early piece with solid hingeblock and nice polished edges and frosting:

Two very nice items there. I do like the fresh finish to these 1957'ers even though I don't have one myself, YET.

    Very nice Andreas,

I do like the '57 awards and as I have said before I greatly approve of the reasoning behind them.

I have been looking out for the spange for some time and I am sure I will capture one at some point.

Don't think I have ever seen the modern replacement Imperial EK though.

    Thanks for showing

    Regards

    Mark
