Default 1957-ers: Stickpin for a WW1/WW2 veteran and KVK1 mit Schwertern

Here are two new additions to my small (but slowly growing) number of 1957-version decorations. I have also posted them, respectively, on my ongoing 1914/18 Ehrenkreuz thread and the Kriegsverdienstkreuz appreciation thread, but thought it appropriate to show them here as well.

The first one, spanning the period from Imperial Germany/World War I via the Third Reich/World War II-era and on to the Federal Republic of Germany/the Cold War years is a neat civilian-wear stickpin for a long-serving non-combatant decorated with the Ehrenkreuz für Kriegsteilnehmer, the Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse (without swords) and the Wehrmacht's 12- and 4-year long service awards.

It is interesting to note that this order of precedence is correct as per the regulations of the 1957 Ordensgesetz, whereas the KVK would have been worn before the 1914-18 Ehrenkreuz as per the regulations of the Third Reich era.

The other one is a Kriegsverdienstkreuz 1. Klasse mit Schwerten. Featuring an open hingeblock assembly and lacking the frosted/polished highlights of earlier pieces, this one is of later manufacture.

Welcome ! great to see these 57er stickpins here, that is an unusual combination I have not seen before ! The KVK 1st class is still IMO a collectable piece despite being a later award....note the way the quality has declined on these later pieces when compared to early solid hinge (pre-1968) pieces, I show my earlier KVK for comparison...
    Prost ! Steve.
