    Here is my latest acquisition: A 1957er Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen in Silber [Infantry Assault Badge in Silver].

    It is an early piece in overall nice condition with some wear.


    Obverse and reverse view. The obverse has nice frosting and polished details, although I feel they don't come across very well in the photograph:

    I believe this is early post war due to the block hinge and catch. The shape of the pin leads me to believe it is from St. & L.

    You're right mate, it's the identical set up on some of their '57 DK's and the later 3rd reich copies with the swastika.

    I can never understand why they leave the eagle off these 57 varients.?

    Nice. I picked one up at a gun show for a very good price. I hope to send pictures of my stuff soon.
