John, a nice original St u L "C" frame RK ! with partially drilled out eye, looks like the core has been painted after construction....with an over zealous craftsman over polishing the finished item, hence the polished away corners on the frame....IMO late 1960's to early 1970's, sometime in the early to mid 1970's St u L switched to non magnetic cores .....as for the ribbon, to me it really does not matter if it is modern, and glows under UV light or not, a 57er is a post war/modern award.
    Prost ! Steve.

I knew you would come through for me. Now. What is this worth??
Not going to sell it. Just wondering. I don't mind telling you I paid $120.00 for it and a few other items in the grouping.
