    Default 57er Bandenkampfabzeichen.

Ladies and Gents..another recent addition to my ever growing collection of 57er awards...a Bronze grade (Camara flash has made it look Gold !) "Bandenkampfabzeichen" The Anti Partisan badge...open hinge so after 1968, but the still crisp features make IMO made not much later than 68'....notice the appalling rear ! this happened early on in production, by St u L, obviously a ploy at saving money ! Early examples are either solid or hollow backed. Its de-nazification design stays close to its wartime appearance, only loosing its skull/crossed bones and sun wheel swastika in the dagger handle...A good looking badge, which is an official 1957 award, despite its dubious status !
    Prost ! Steve.

"The German Army is the perfectly adapted, perfectly running Machine. The difference is that the Germans are organised with a view to War...with the cold, hard, practical and business-like purpose of winning victories."
