My newest addition, a 57er Deumer EKI. It's unmarked and has very nice frosting.

My god, that's one hell of a minty Ek!
But what's with the black stuff on the back?
Ingrid a mighty fine EK I which shows all the Deumer attributes, wartime pin/hinge, rounded catch and detailing/frosting, although not marked, a fine catch ! I would date, late 50's to very early 60's. When I am done sellling my WW1 items, I will be concentrating on the 57ers ! and one of these is on my wish list !
Prost ! Steve.
Thanks Steve! These are hard to find, I'm looking for a Deumer EK2 now.

How many makers are there for the 57er EKs?
Regards
Ingrid, it is believed the following firms participated in producing 57er design replacement awards..Steinhauer & Luck, Otto Schickle, Deumer, C.E.Junker, Deschler, possibly Klein & Quenzer and i think Assman, (if anyone can add to this list, feel free), and of course Souval in Austria....most by the early 1960's had fell by the wayside...leaving Steinhauer & Luck with the monopoly !
Prost ! Steve.
Thanks Steve! I was looking for more information yesterday and I came across some Deschler EKs and an EKI with an 'A' mark on the back, I was just wondering how many there are exactly.
Best regards
