    Default 57er Marine Combat clasp......

A bunch of 57er awards dropped through the letter box this last week....This mid production (around the mid 1960's) "Marine-Frontspange" (Marine Combat clasp) amongst them....instituted 19th November 1944 for five seperate Meritorous actions that were not covered by existing decorations...it was worn over the left pocket, as on the photograph of the BW Marine Officer WW2 veteran shown in last photograph.
    Prost ! Steve.
