57er Silver Luftwaffe transport clasp

Another of my recent finds..a salty silver grade Luftwaffe transport spange/clasp awarded to transport and glider crews for 60 flights. This piece is of late production, that is after 1968, as evident by its "open hinge block"..see photographs, still in my view a nice award, note the loss of finish to the rear, use or misuse ?
