Hope it's in the right spot, I don't know if this is period or what it is or where it's from. Garage sale find for two dollars. Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance. It's on a rather non descript green beret.

Quick check shows a green beret is Infantry in the Bundeswehr.

Cannonman17, I would need to see the inside to confirm that it is a Bundeswehr beret, green berets were worn by Panzergrenadiers, Jager(Light Infantry ), and Wachtbattalion, the badge is a generic Army peaked cap badge and should not be on the beret. Please see this thread for further information on berets and their respective badges http://warrelics.eu/forum/bundeswehr...-badges-42195/
    Prost 1 Steve.
