Bundeswehr Gebirgsjager Tunic ?

Good day Gentlemen, I was thinking of purchasing this tunic for my Bundeswehr collection but I am having a hard time finding an example out there to compare it to?

The seller has it listed as a german ski troop officers tunic no other info available I thought both the edelweiss badge and the shortness of the tunic very intresting can any one give me a hand with authentication and possibly a time frame as to when this tunic would have been issued?

Mark...you have not been looking ! it is always advisable to search through the back pages of the sub forums threads, here is mine posted some time ago..... Gebirgsjager Ski blouse. yours is the same. Worn between 1959 and the present...look in the inside pocket, there will be a maker label which will be dated.

You are correct Steve I noticed after I posted this thread and carried on with my search that you had one hanging in your collection!!!! And went back through the forum old posts and found the thread on yours.
