I have just bought a 1960s era Luftwaffe general's tunic. I am looking for a 1960s era BW Luftwaffe general's visor hat. Can anyone give me any direction?

Bob.....Welcome to the Bundeswehr sub forum, are you not going to show the tunic ?....I believe you have a good collection of Bundeswehr and 57er items..... please post your items, I am sure the members would love to see them, as for a source for an early 60's cap........I can only point you in the direction of dealers and E-Bay in Germany.

I am awaiting the generals tunic which has been mailed to me. I am looking for a hat, from the 1960s to match the tunic. The hats, on German ebay, are all 1990s era new production. They are much darket blue than the earlier hats.

As soon as the BW Luft general's tunic arrives, I will post it.

I thank all of my fello forum members for the help and guidance. I am very new to BW collecting and only collected the 1957 pattern Iron Cross series of awards.

Bob, Tom...I think this is the type of cap required, a similiar dated (1960's) Army Generals recently sold for £140 Euros on E-Bay Germany, rare, but attainable with patience.

No date my friend and from what I can read the maker is Granowsky or similar. Have you heard of that maker?
