Nice thread gents. I have a few 1957 items in my small small small militaria collection. Thanks to Paul @ Wharton Militaria, I own: A cased 1957 RK with Oaks, Swords, Diamonds, (the case is certainly an ugly case-but cased none the less) another 1957 RK-early make I guess as its quality is fantastic and a spare set of Oaks (early made) and another spare Oaks and swords (early made? as these are also very nice looking) an early EKII and an early EKI Wiederholungsspange.
I would post but for the problem of having no camera to take photos, nor a computer that can do it as well as no experience in posting photos fro scans and such.
I lost count of how many EKs I have from different periods but, I have one--1870 EKII, 4 EKIs--one is cased, and the rest are EKIIs as well as Spanges.

very nice dks the number might be something as simple as the number of people have been awarded it so he was 2110 in line to receive

i have finally made the leap and bought a 57 ek2 im pretty sure i can see a makers mark (not going to show on camera) any ideas what it could be
